Friends of ours discovered Cala dor and asked us to visit their villas. We took up the offer and soon fell under its spell. Like our friends before us we decided to tour the island to prove that Cala d´or wasn´t unique - and like them we failed. Within a few months we bought our first holiday home in Cala dOr.

Cala d´or has so much to offer, there are several secluded sandy beaches, a marina bustling with life - many interesting walks. There are many fine restaurants to suit all palates and pockets and offering such a large choice that it is impossible to sample them all on any two week holiday. You can choose to eat around the marina to watch the boats and yachts come and go or sit in a pedestrianised precinct if you prefer to watch the people go by.

The restaurants are staffed by friendly people who will remember you from visit to visit and will greet you as a long lost friend. The same friendliness exists throughout the town and it must be in the air and in the general ambience. Close by ther eare other good beaches, sopme are devoted tof ishing boats and others are wihin a short drive, there are several fascinating old towns, lovely villages like Calonge - some towns have some wonderful markets which we visit on many occasions as there is always something new to see. If you are more adventurous then other parts of the island are within easy reach.

Now is the time for us to leave our Taylor Woodrow two bed, top floor apartment with views of the marina, and lovely pool to look for a larger property - so we can make a permanent home in Cala d´Or. We won´t be moving far!
